Hey you,

First off I would like to say thanks so much for stopping by my little spot on the web.

What do I want to say about myself, humm that's a tough one. Well I'm a 23 year old Kansan who recently moved to Salt Lake City, Utah with my wonderful boyfriend Ryan. It has been so exciting to be in a new place surrounded by new opportunities and experiences. For the first time, I have been able to start a fresh new life, be who I want to be and all. And that's what got me thinking, who do I want to be? And what do I want to work on and change about myself?

To help me find the answers, I began examining my life and the choices I've made that have lead me to having these questions about my life and who I am as a person. After some time routing around in my memories I started to notice a pattern, that many of my decisions in life were not based on ME and what I wanted for myself but rather on what I thought others expected from me. I decided to change, to stop worrying about other people and start focusing on myself.

That's what In the Moment with Melanie is all about. It's a place where I can talk about anything ME, my interests, views, thoughts and feelings. I'm hoping that with time and effort I'll be able to grow as a person and become a happier,healthier, BETTER ME.
